The Bla Bla Bla through the eyes of Marjo

How was your initiation to the Bla Bla Bla… The hosting and everything…

I saw my take-off on the ”Bla Bla Bla” as being a nice opportunity for me, to participate in the magic and the joy of what this show brings to all. And knowing that my debut on the show was during an incredible episode where Jeff had pink hair, I knew without a doubt that the experience was going to be exciting and without limits! Also what I find really amazing about this show, is that it’s not only filled with surprises for the audience!! Every minute of this reunion remains a surprise, bringing us from one emotion to another… equally as exciting as the last. In fact, not only because the moment is experienced live, but also in the interaction with an lively and heartwarming audience!! And with an outstanding host such as Stephanie ( and you should know that it’s quite the challenge to be in lead of Your Favorite Enemies… lol), an energetic team like the one that surrounds the band… being part of the ”Bla Bla Bla” is a real honour for me!!! 🙂

Best Bla Bla Bla moment in 2013?

One of my best “Bla Bla Bla: The Live Show” moment of 2013 is instinctively linked to a music performance that “Your Favorite Enemies” hosted live from the acoustic set of their studio-church. I’m talking about the time they played “1-2-3 (One Step Away)”, a song found on the band’s latest album called “Between Illness And Migration”. This song is also a track that was first introduced through the SFCC, as an exclusive insight on the band’s newest album! Right from the moment I’ve downloaded it, I couldn’t help but listen to it over and over again. It made this song turn into some kind of an SFCC anthem to me, since it’s through there that I could first get a listen to it. And to hear this song being performed live, with this vibe that only YFE can bring to the sound of an acoustic song… “1-2-3 (One Step Away)” caught me once more and brought me into a contemplative state of Your Favorite Enemies’ soulful music!

Worst Bla Bla Bla moment in 2013?

Since I’m really not a fan of seafood dishes and all sorts of related snacks, I must admit that tasting a variety of Japanese treats was quite a ride for me! But it went pretty well… especially due to the sweet bites we had the opportunity to share, at the end of the food tasting festivities! lol! But what a blast we had! Live on the set, and on the chat too! I remember that the chat box was just running wild, as our dear friends from all around the globe were cheering and sharing their excitement with us! That was a lot of fun!

Any pre-Bla Bla Bla rituals?

I like to go around the set and say hi to everyone in the team, share smiles and a few laughter, as we get prepared, all together, to spend this awesome family time with everyone joining us online. And since I never heard the contrary, I guess that everyone likes my goofy jokes, even though it’s way too early in the morning for anyone to be able to handle such jokes! lol!
